Fire safety is not a one-size-fits-all affair. At Progress Fire Co, we understand the importance of designing, implementing and maintaining fire safety systems that are built around the unique needs of each client and space. In order to create a comprehensive fire safety system, we understand that a range of fire safety solutions need to be considered to help our clients to protect the people within the facilities, provide security and peace of mind over the premises and underlying assets themselves.

A fire pump is an important part of any fire safety system. If you’re unfamiliar with fire pumps, how they work and why they’re important, we’ve included a breakdown on this below:

Fire Pumps: What are they and why are they important?

If a fire were to break out in your commercial premises, it’s important that safety solutions like sprinklers are activated immediately to extinguish or suppress and contain the fire until firefighters can arrive on the scene. However, sprinkler and hydrant systems require a lot of water pressure that needs to be delivered instantly, which is where the fire pump comes in.

The fire pump ensures that there is sufficient pressure for the water to reach the fire sprinklers or hydrant valves from the source which can be particularly challenging in tall buildings.

Design

The implementation of a fire pump starts with extensive system design. The design phase is our first opportunity to build trust and value for the client and every project has unique areas of focus that will enable additional value to be recognised. We believe in placing trust, integrity and relationships at the heart of everything we do, and this is built from the initial design up.

We take the time to get to know the needs of each and every project and client, in order to develop fire safety systems tailored to the client’s needs and budget. This allows us to lay the foundations of a lasting and harmonious client relationship.

Construction and Engineering

The product selection, placement and installation of a fire pump solution, no matter how well designed, requires high quality engineering and expertise, whether it’s part of the building’s construction process or an addition to an existing construction.

Our team handle all aspects of engineering to ensure that your fire pump performs when needed to give you a fast and responsive fire system.

Maintenance

In order to keep your business and your workforce safe and ensure ongoing compliance, routine maintenance and inspection are an absolutely integral part of any fire safety system. Since they go unused for long periods of time, fire pumps may become vulnerable to plumbing or electrical issues which can impede their efficacy when they are needed.

We provide regular maintenance, testing and flow testing solutions to help ensure that you always get the best out of your fire pump. And because we are National Fire Industry Association registered, we are qualified to fully certify all fire services for your peace of mind.

Project Management and Relationships

Our collaborative and value-focused approach to project management is where we truly shine. During the project management phase we are in regular communication to ensure the results are driven by what is needed in your business. Our overarching project management puts you in the driver’s seat.

We understand that trust is extremely important when it comes to fire safety. We strive to build trust and understanding of your business.
